A Note from Rod
For over 70 years Fairfax Community Church was located on a tiny parcel of land on a dead-end street. From these modest surroundings our congregation engaged this culture with the Good News of the Kingdom and invited others into a community committed to following Jesus.
In 2005 we built our current building on land that God miraculously provided. This new location has enabled us to serve an increasing number of people from our community. In five years we have grown from a worshipping community of 600 to over 2,000. Each week, people come through our doors searching for answers, ready for a fresh start, or looking for a place to belong.
The cost of this building project was $12 million. We paid $5 million in cash and financed the balance. Over the first four years we slowly reduced our debt. In the fall of 2009 we launched the Greater Things Initiative to pay off as much debt as possible. This will position us financially and spiritually for the "greater things" we know God has for us in the future.
Please take some time to consider what you and your family could give toward our Greater Things Initiative. You can donate online from this site. Thank you for your continued partnership!
